Switzerland, a diplomatic superpower we have a tendancy to forget , like any other state, has no friends, only interests !

Switzerland Vs France: Since the French government is putting pressure on French citizens using Switzerland as a Tax Haven, and on HSBC listing, two events occured which may be linked to the friction between the two countries, The UDC political party launched a campaign against the « Frontaliers »-called « racaille » by the UDC , There are more than 100.000 French citizens crossing the border every day to work in Switzerland, most of them in the Geneva Canton where unemployment has reached 7% , when it is only 3,9% in the other cantons of the country -The UDC asked for a votation « election » with a yes or no vote on the Muslim Mosque Minaret, it was again clear, that it was against the French, as the UDC is thinking that a lot of those Crossborder French are muslims.
We should not forget that the Suisse speciality is to put things into motion very quietly, Switzerland is the country of discretion and secrecy, now their interest is not in the West anymore, It is certainly Russia, President Medvedev visited Switzerland recently, So Switzerland will soon crawl closer to Russia as quiet as a mouse, as usual.
ZOUG (ZUG):
If you are looking for a job in Finance, you have to go to Zug!
The smallest Canton of the country, is becoming the new tax haven of many financial companies and Hedge funds.
Zoug which is twenty minutes away from Zurich Bahnofstrasse by train, is a nice quiet town of 20 000 people , but we heard that 80.000 people are working in Zoug !
Surrounded by the Rigi mountain, and one small lake , this town offers several restaurants with private rooms where Finance VIP’s can have discreet conversations, when sharing a « Tourte au Kirsch » , a Burgenstock, or the famous Rotel Fish from the lake.
If you need to stay in Zug, we recommend the luxurious and spacious Parkhotel which is offering top-notch hospitality with a pronounced Swiss flavour, the place to eat is definitely the Glashof Zug managed by the Erni family, excellent food with Swiss discretion of course .
Several financial companies , Noble corp, Transocean, Foster Wheeler, Weatherfield, BlueCrest, Marc Rich, Amplitude, Northstream and some Darkpools, moved to Zoug recently, with the new taxation of bonuses voted by the city of London , Zoug will have even more success. The only thing missing in Zoug is entertainment, in this catholic town, no place to go late night, and besides skiing in the winter, no other addiction.
The maximum taxation is 23%, and for the offshore companies it is only 9%.

Number one is Ingvar Kamprad the founder of Ikea with a fortune of 35-36 billion.
Number two is the Hoffmann & Oeri family owner of Roche pharmaceutical company ,( the manufacturer of the Tamiflu),
Their assets reached 15-16 billion .
The richest French family is the Wertheimer family , owner of Chanel, their fortune is between 4 and 5 billion .

La Suisse a toujours été une superpuissance diplomatique, on l’oubli souvent !
Suisse Vs USA , On pourrait imaginer que l’affaire Roman Polanski est anecdotique, après la longue « bagarre » entre UBS et les autorité Américaines, on peut envisager que l’affaire n’est pas le fruit du hazard. Suisse Vs France, depuis que le gouvernement Français met la pression, pour que ses contribuables rapatrient leurs fonds déposés en Suisse , et vu le tournant de l’affaire HSBC , on a vu l’UDC principal parti politique en Suisse ( 29 % des voies au dernières législative) lancer une campagnes contre les frontaliers appelé » racaille ». Il y a environ 100 000 français qui travaillent en Suisse, principalement dans le Canton de Geneve ou le taux de chomage est de 7% , alors qu il est de 3.9% dans les autres cantons. L’UDC a aussi obtenu une votation contre la construction de minarets , l’UDC considérant que beaucoup de frontaliers sont musulmans.
Enfin la Suisse est le pays de la discrétion , ou tout se fait sans bruit , La Suisse considère aujourd’hui que son centre d’intétêts n’est plus l’Ouest mais l’Est, on devrait voir les Suisses se rapprocher des Russes, discrètement of course, Le président Medvedev à fait une visite en Suisse récemment .
ZOUG (ZUG):
Si vous êtes à la recherche d’un job dans l’industrie financière , allez à Zug !
Le plus petit canton de Suisse est devenu le paradis fiscal , qui attire aujourdhui, des Hedge funds, des Plateformes alternatives, et des Sociétés financières.
Cette petite ville de 20 000 habitants, ou travaille semble – t-il 80.000 personnes, est dominée par le Mont Rigi, bordée par un lac, située à vingt minutes de Zurich par le train, Zoug attire beaucoup de nouvelles sociétés financières .
Le taux d’imposition global, est de 23% , et de neuf pour cent seulement pour les sociétés offshore.
Noble corp, Transocean, Foster Wheeler, Weatherfield, Amplitude, BlueCrest , NorthesTeam, March Rich se sont installés à Zoug.
Les grands restaurants offrent tous de salons privés, ou peuvent se tenir des réunions discrètes ,tout en dégustant une Tourte au Kirsch, un BurgenStock ou le célèbre poisson du lac, le Rotel.
Si vous devez séjourner à Zug, le luxurieux et spacieux Parkhotel, est recommandé, il a toutes les qualités des grands hotels mais avec en plus une certaine « saveur » Suisse.
Enfin un restaurant à ne pas manquer, le célèbre Glashof géré par la famille Erni, une cuisine raffinée dans un lieu calme et discret.
Par contre très peu de distractions dans cette ville très catholique, et pas d’addiction à part le ski , les traders et autres analystes vont pouvoir faire des économies.
Fortune des Suisses fortunés .
Selon l’évaluation 2009 de « Bilan » les 300 plus grosses fortunes de la Suisse totalisent près de 450 milliards de Francs Suisses .
En numéro un Ingvar Krampad, le Fondateur d’Ikea avec une fortune estimée à 35-36 milliards.
En numéro deux la famille Hoffmann & Oeri, propriétaire des Laboratoires Roche ( Tamiflu) avec une fortune estimée à 15-16 milliards.

Affaire HSBC : la Suisse suspend l’accord fiscal avec la France
- La Suisse va suspendre le processus de ratification de l’accord de double imposition signé en août par Paris et Berne, pour protester contre la récupération par la France de données volées à la banque HSBC à Genève, a indiqué mercredi le président Hans-Rudolf Merz.
Histoire de la HSBC !
HSBC signifie Hong Kong Shanghai Bank Corporation, La banque fut crée à Hong Kong il y a 140 ans par un Ecossais vendeur de soie et d’opium, Elle a pris son essort en 1949 grace aux réfugiés Chinois qui avaient fui Shanghai , lors de la prise de pouvoir de Mao .
La banque est devenue rapidement la première banque de Hong Kong, parmi ses responsabilités il y avait l’émission des billets de banque de Hong Kong alors colonie Britannique .
Margaret Thatcher visita la Chine au mileu des années 80 , pour tenter de négocier une prolongation de la location des territoires de Kowloon et de l’Ile de Victoria ( Hong Kong) loués jusqu’a 1997.
Cela fut un échec, la rétrocession à la Chine en 1997 fut entérinée!
La décision que prit alors la HSBC fut radicale, elle décida malgré les très fortes pressions et menaces de la Chine , de déplacer son siège sociale aux Bermudes !
HSBC a remporté le bras de fer , et a continué de produire la monnaie locale, pour sauver la face des Chinois , elle a construit un très bel immeuble moderne dans Central (l’ Architecte fut Foster, l’Entreprise de Batiment était française , c’était Dragages qui devint plus tard une filiale de Bouygues)
Les Chinois ont construit à coté le siège locale de la Banque of China !
Souvenons nous , HSBC n’a pas plié devant le gouvernement Chinois !
Qui est HSBC aujourdhui ?
Le siège est maintenant en Grande Bretagne, c’est certainement une des trois premieres banques mondiales, elle est surtout dirigé par Stephen Green qui est banquier la semaine et révérend de l’Eglise Anglicane le Week End !
Né à Brighton en 1948, il fut diplomé d’Oxford en 1971, est entré chez HSBC en 1982, nommé Directeur en 2003, nommé Chairman 2006.

A millionaire who was caught charging through a Swiss village in his Ferrari Testarossa has been slapped with a £181,632 penalty.
The unnamed man was doing 63kmh, which prompted the Swiss court in St Gallen to hand him a CHF299,000 fine.
This smashes the previous record for a driving offence which stood at CHF111,000 and was was also knocked up in Switzerland, back in 2008.
The court said: « The accused ignored elementary traffic rules with a powerful vehicle out of a pure desire for speed.”
However perhaps the most significant part of the whole episode isn’t the size of the fine but the court’s justification for it. They said the man should pay a significant chunk of his fortune, which happened to be estimated at £14.2million and included a villa and a garage filled with other luxury automobiles.
